Betting and Game Rules

General rules that apply to all play
These rules apply to every bet, spin and hand placed with us. Where the rules inside a particular game differ from this page, the rules shown in that game decide that round.
You may hold one account with us only. Accounts are opened in your own name, for your own use, and you must be 18 or over to register or play. We hold a gaming licence for the services we offer and we verify the identity, age and payment details of our customers; some play and payments may be limited until those checks are complete.
- One account per person, household, shared device or internet connection.
- You are responsible for everything that happens on your account, including play by anyone you allow to use it.
- Rounds may be funded from your real-money balance or, where a game allows it, from bonus funds. The balance in use is shown in the game and in the cashier.
- Once a bet is confirmed it is final. We cannot cancel, change or refund a round that has already been placed.
- Stake sizes, available bet types and any table limits are those shown in the game at the time you play.
Bets cannot be taken back
Please double-check your stake, the number of lines and the chips you have placed before you confirm a round. A confirmed bet stands, whatever the outcome.
How bets and spins are settled
Every outcome is produced on our game servers rather than on your device. The result recorded by the server is the result that counts, and it decides what is paid to your balance.
Each game carries its own rules, paytable and help screen, which set out winning combinations, how features work and how any side bets are settled. The theoretical return to player (RTP) figure for a game is shown in the same place. RTP is a long-run average measured across a very large number of rounds; it does not predict what any single session will return.
| Point in play | What decides it |
|---|---|
| The outcome | The result generated and recorded by the game server |
| What a win pays | The paytable in the game you are playing |
| How a feature works | The rules in that game's help screen |
| The amount staked | The stake confirmed at the moment you placed the round |
Winnings are added to your balance as soon as the round is settled, and settled rounds appear in your account history. If the screen in front of you ever shows something different from the result recorded on the server - for example after a page refresh or a display fault - the server record is used and your balance is adjusted to match it.
Malfunctions, disconnections and unfinished rounds
A malfunction voids all pays and play. This applies whether the fault is in the game itself, in the software that runs it, or in the way a round was sent to or from your device. Where a round is affected, the stake is returned or the round is settled on the server record, and any pay shown in error is removed.
If you are disconnected
- Close the game and sign in again. Most games reopen at the point you left them.
- Where a round cannot be resumed, it is settled automatically on the server using the result already generated.
- Check your balance and your account history once the game has reopened.
- If something still looks wrong, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Unfinished rounds
An unfinished round is held for the period shown in the game before it is settled automatically. Starting a new round in the same game may complete or end an unfinished one, so look over that game's help screen first.
Playing with bonus funds
Where you play with bonus funds, the bonus terms you accepted apply in addition to these rules. They set out the wagering requirement, how long the bonus lasts and which games it can be used on.
- A maximum stake applies while wagering is outstanding. Placing a larger bet may void the bonus and anything won from it.
- Games contribute to wagering at different rates and some do not contribute at all; the contribution table in the bonus terms applies.
- Where both balances are available, rounds are normally funded from the bonus balance first. The balance in use is shown in the game.
- Features such as buying into a bonus round, or placing covering bets across low-risk outcomes to clear wagering, may be restricted while a bonus is active.
- Winnings from bonus funds become withdrawable only once the wagering requirement has been met in full.
If a bonus expires or is forfeited, the bonus balance and anything still attached to it are removed. Your real-money funds are not affected.
Live casino and table games
Live games are dealt by a dealer in a studio and streamed to you. Each table has its own help screen covering the bets available, the payouts, any side bets and how the game is dealt.
- Bets must be placed and confirmed within the betting time shown on screen. Late bets are not accepted, and chips that were not confirmed are returned.
- The dealer's call at the table, together with the result recorded by the game server, settles the round.
- Where a card is misdealt, a result is declared void or the stream is interrupted, the round may be voided and stakes returned under that table's rules.
- Minimum and maximum stakes, and any limits on individual bet types, are the ones shown at the table.
- Chat is moderated. Please keep it courteous; access to chat may be withdrawn from players who do not.
If you leave a live table part-way through a round, the round continues without you and is settled on the result dealt.
Questions and disputes about a round
If you believe a round has been settled incorrectly, start a live chat with us or write to support@casinotemplenile.co.uk. We will look into it against the server record, which is the record we rely on in any dispute.
- The name of the game, and the table name for live games.
- The date and time of the round, with your time zone.
- The round or game reference shown in your account history.
- Your account username, and a short note of what you expected to happen.
We will confirm the outcome of our checks by e-mail. If you are not satisfied with our answer, our complaints procedure sets out the next steps, including the free dispute resolution service available to you once our internal process is complete.
Staying in control
These rules cover how games settle; deciding how much and how long to play matters just as much. You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or self-exclude from your account at any time. Free, confidential support is available from GamCare, GambleAware and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you exclude yourself from online gambling sites in one step. 18+ only.
