Reading the terms on any bonus credited to your account

Whether a bonus arrives from the wheel, from the Bazaar or from a VIP offer, the same handful of rules decides what happens next. Our default wagering requirement is 40 times the bonus amount before it converts to your cash balance, unless the specific terms of that offer say otherwise. Until wagering is complete, the deposit and the winnings tied to the bonus stay locked to your casino account.

Game weighting matters just as much as the multiplier, because not every game moves the target at the same speed. Wagering is counted on the total amount you stake on eligible games.

Stake size is capped while a bonus is in play: the maximum bet is £5 on any game. There is a second cap on top of that. A single bet worth more than 20% of the bonus credited counts as irregular play until wagering is met, so a £200 bonus puts the ceiling at £40 for that rule, while the £5 maximum still applies. Bets under £5 are not caught by the 20% rule.

A few other habits do not count towards wagering: equal, zero or low-margin bets and hedge betting, such as covering black and red on roulette or more than 25 of the 37 numbers. A worked example: what 40x actually asks of you

Numbers make this easier than rules do. Say you deposit £50 and a matched £50 bonus lands on top. Wagering on our welcome package is 40 times the combined deposit and bonus, so the target is 40 × £100 = £4,000 in stakes on eligible games.

• On a 100% slot: every £1 you stake counts £1, so £4,000 of spins clears the requirement.

• On table games, video poker or progressive jackpots: nothing counts, so the target does not move at all.
